Q: Who is responsible to pay Zakat on a joint bank account?
Primarily, Zakat is binding on whoever owns the deposited funds in the joint account.
If there is no clear agreement or distinction of who owns the funds, then, the Zakat liability for such an account will be 50-50 unless decided otherwise.
