In support of London’s homeless
Saturday, 6th July 2013, 6-10pm
Le Méridien Piccadilly: Georgian Suite, 21 Piccadilly, London W1J 0BH
Assalaamu alaikum wa rahmatullah,
We would like to invite you to our annual fundraising dinner and provide you with the chance to make a difference for yourself and your local community this Ramadan.
With figures suggesting a year-on-year increase in homelessness of over 90%, it is vital that our community is not just part of the problem but actually part of the solution. Homelessness has represented over half of the 600 cases processed by the National Zakat Foundation over the last two years.
Alhamdulillah, NZF has responded with the launch of a Muslim women’s shelter in partnership with leading charity St Mungo’s in London but also a fast tracked method of helping the homeless back into sustainable housing.
Join us for an opportunity to change the story meaningfully for those suffering from homelessness in your own city. You will also have the chance to reflect on your own readiness and preparations for Ramadan which will be just a few days around the corner.
We are fortunate to be joined by esteemed guests:
Sheikh Alaa Elsayed, AlKauthar Institue
Farooq Murad, Muslim Council of Britain
and our host Na’eem Raza
Not to mention networking with 250 other guests and the delicious three-course dinner being provided by our selected caterers, Shaziana.
The first 100 tickets are available at our Early Bird price of £35.00 and special group discounts are available too.
“Take from their wealth a charity to cleanse and purify them through it and pray for them. Indeed your prayer gives them tranquility. And indeed Allah is All Hearing, All Knowing.”
