How Your Zakat Helped Adil Rebuild His Life and Give Back to His Community
When Adil lost his job as a mechanic, one of the hardest periods of his life began. The bills mounted, his confidence took a knock, and he exhausted every option to find help. He finally arrived at his local mosque not knowing where else to turn.
That mosque is Ashton Central Mosque – a Community Zakat Programme (CZP) partner of NZF. Adil was supported quickly and with dignity. Your Zakat gave him more than just immediate relief; it gave him hope and reminded him he wasn’t alone.
Over time, Adil became part of the congregation, built friendships and rediscovered a sense of belonging. Through a connection he made at the mosque, he started working as a mechanic again, rebuilding his life piece by piece. Soon, he was able to rent a home for his family, giving them the stability and security they had been searching for.
Today, Adil is one of those giving back. He volunteers at the mosque’s food bank and is setting up mechanic classes to pass his skills on to others. Having faced hardship himself, he is passionate about helping people who now find themselves where he once stood.
