How do you convert your gold or silver from Bhoris, Tolas, and Voris into grams?

One Tola (India) or Bori or Vori is equivalent to 11.66 grams. One Tola (Pakistan) is equivalent to 12.5g grams.

We know that the Nisab threshold for gold is 87.48 grams, so this is equivalent to 7.5 Tolas (India), Voris or Bhoris and 7 Tolas (Pakistan) . In order to get an accurate calculation, you will need to check current gold and silver prices:  Gold and Silver, and Nisab. For your current and/or any missed Zakat payments, you can also use the link to check a historical nisab amount.

How would we calculate the value of our gold or silver if we know the weight in Tolas, Boris and Voris?

It is worth noting that in the South Asian subcontinent (i.e. India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal) grams may not be used to measure silver and gold. Instead, one of 3 possible units of measurement may be used; these are either: Tolas, Boris or Voris.

One Tola (India) or Bori or Vori is equivalent to 11.66 grams. One tola (Pakistan) is equivalent to 12.5grams. We know that the Nisab threshold for gold is 87.48 grams, so this is equivalent to 7.5 Tolas (India), Voris, or Bhoris or 7 Tolas (Pakistan).

And Allah knows best!
