National Zakat Foundation (NZF) is seeking a dedicated and proactive Grants Officer to join our Services team.

6-month Fixed Term Contract – 35 hours per week £23k per annum

We believe that Zakat, one of the five pi lars of Islam, has the power to transform lives and uplift communities when distributed effectively and responsibly. Our mission is simple but profound: to make Zakat work for the UK’s Muslim community. By collecting Zakat from those who are able to give and distributing it to those in need, NZF provides critical support to vulnerable individuals and families, providing relief and helping them to self-sufficiency. Over the years, NZF has facilitated millions of pounds in Zakat distribution, directly impacting thousands of lives across the country.

In this vital role, you will help bring our Zakat mission to life by managing grant applications and collaborating with community partners. Your efforts will directly contribute to supporting those in need and ensuring our processes run smoothly and effectively. We’re looking for someone who : 

      • Embrace the core values of the Zakat Distribution team.
      • Deliver efficient, empathetic, and effective service.
      • Dedicate themselves to safeguarding those who reach out to us, ensuring their well-being.
      • Maintain accurate records in our grant system.
      • Uphold and respect customer confidentiality.

 

We’re looking for someone who : 

      • The privilege and responsibility of helping to administer Zakat funds. 
      • The opportunity to help Muslims in need right here in the UK
      • 6-month fixed term contract with the potential for extension .
      • A salary of £23k FTE.
      • Full training provided online .
      • Remote working 
      • Typical hours of 10am-6pm.
      • A supportive and friendly team.
